年末の漫才頂上決戦『M-1グランプリ』（テレビ朝日系）の決勝戦に進出する9組が発表された。
7日、東京・竹芝のNEW PIER HALLで行われた準決勝には、予選を勝ち抜いた31組の漫才師が登場。ワイルドカード枠のダブルヒガシを皮切りに、約2時間にわたって熱い戦いが繰り広げられた。
